Desert-Striped-Whipsnake
Whoo-boy was this guy fast! Got some neat photos of him in motion blur, lol. The id is my best guess though the orange kinda threw me. His coloration really varied along his body.

Black-throated Sparrow
The dry desert grass colors make a pretty background but we haven't gotten rain in so long it won't take much for a wildfire - there have already been several in New Mexico. The sparrow is perched on a thornless honey locust branch in my yard.

Pyrrhuloxia
also known as the Western Cardinal. Not very shy and usually at the feeders past sunset till almost completely dark. Here on an Mesquite branch.
